The cars on the list are Top 10 most expensive cars currently in production, also the list doesn’t include cars with extremely low production runs (2-3 pieces for example).
Expensive famous car brands tend to grow in value after production stops and they are mostly sold trough auctions where they hit insane prices ex. Ferrari GTO (52m$ in an auction 2013.), more modern day car McLaren F1 (8,7m$ in an auction 2013.) and so on, so auctions wont be included ether.

The 2015 Top 10 most expensive cars in the world list is full of surprises so lets start the list with the cheapest car on the list
10. Rimac Concept_One – 1,000,000$ (est.)
Rimac Concept_One is electric supercar going to sale by the end of 2015. with an estimated price tag of 1,000,000$. Concept_One is made by Rimac Automobili.Rimac Automobili is a small Croatian company that produces electric vehicles, drivetrain and battery systems.
Concept_One technical specs are 1,088 HP electrical engine going from 0 to 60 mph in just 2,8 seconds.
Rimac also claims a top speed of 190 MPH, and a 373 mile driving range from the 91 kWh battery pack, which is even larger than the battery in the top-trim Tesla Model S.
Concept_One production run starts in 2015 and it will be total of 88 cars.
9. Mercedes Benz S600 S-Guard – 1,000,000$
S-Guard S600 is a luxury car made by Mercedes Benz well known German car maker.
The S-Guard S600 is an armored version of the standard S600, it can handle rifle fire, grenades and explosives!
The car features bullet proof windows and doors and fire and security alarms. The glasses of the Guard are coated with polycarbonate on the inside. The tyres of the S600 Guard can run upto 30 km even if it comes under attack.
Just because of the security features it has we could call it a supercar. But this car also has a beast under the hood: twin-turbo V12 petrol engine producing 530 HP with 830 Nm of torque. Car is electronically limited to 130 mph (210 km/h).
S-Guard is built on a special production line at the S-Class facility in Germany, with specific S-Guard enhancements integrated at multiple stages throughout the production process. Production numbers for S-Guard are not public but car is mass produced so its safe to say this is a production supercar in year 2015.
As a side note price reported in India is around 1,300,000$.
8. Hennessey Venom F5 – 1,200,000$
Venom F5 is an supercar made by Hennessey Performance, American tuning house specializing in modifying sports and supercars.
“With the fury of a Texas tornado, 290 mph is within reach“
Yes its correct, Venom F5 top speed will be around 290 mph. Hennessey wants to take down its own world record in speed (270.49 mph) set by the predecessor Venom GT. It will do 0-60 mph in just 2,5 sec and will run up to 200 mph in just 13 sec.
F5 will have a twin-turbo 7.0-liter V8 with a new fuel system with grand total of amazing 1400 HP. Car is made out of carbon fiber so it wont be heavier than 2866 lbs (1300kg) making it more than 1000 HP per tonne of the car weight! Also it looks aggressive and but still classy.
The car is currently in production, 30 pieces will be made and 1st car should be delivered at the beginning of 2016.
7. Pagani Huayra – 1,400,000$
Huayra is a hypercar made by Pagani Automobili, Italian manufacturer of sports cars and carbon fiber. Huayra’s unusual name could be translated to “God of the winds” from ancient Inca language.
Car is was released in 2011 and it was named “Hypercar of the year 2012″ by Top Gear, so lets see what makes it so special.
Huayra is hand made car (also looks like a piece of art) that includes a lot of specially designed parts, body is obviously made of carbon fibre to keep it slim on the weight side (2900lbs/1350kg).
It has special active aerodynamics it adjusts flaps in the front and back according to speed by an independent computer.
Now the main thing on Huayra, engine! Its Mercedes Benz AMG division made also hand built 5,980cc twin-turbo V12 (special design that reduces turbo lag and improves throttle response) engine that produces 720 HP and straight 1000 Nm of torque! This V12 beast pushes Huayra from 0-60 mph in just 3,2 sec up to the top speed of 23o mph (370 km/h). Huayra also has a specially designed titanium exhaust system with special silencer.
It just screams SPECIAL SPECIAL SPECIAL.
Pagani production run of 100 Huayra’s is stretched from 2012 to 2015.
6. Koenigsegg Agera RS – 1,600,000$ (est.)
Agera RS the successor of Agera S and Agera R made by Koenigsegg Automotive, Swedish manufacturer of Hypercars, the company one and only goal is to produce world class Supercars!
Agera RS is a hypercar aimed for track use (but still road legal), the car is made to have great aerodynamics and more aggressive look than earlier mentioned S and R models. The engine in Agera RS is 5.0 twin-turbo V8 producing 1,160 HP. Body is made of carbon fiber reinforced with kevlar for more toughness and less weight (3000lbs/1390kg). Agera RS is Koenigsegg developed and hand made in only 25 car production run.
5. Ferrari LaFerrari – 1,700,000$
LaFerrari made by well known Italian car maker Ferrari. LaFerrari is Ferrari’s first ever hybrid production car.
The whole car is made using Formula 1 technologies so the whole car resembles a formula.
Chassis of the car is basically two F1 single seaters glued together, LaFerrari weights just 2,767 lbs (1,255 kg)!The F1 derived engine is a combination of 163 HP electrical engine and classic V12 engine that 800 HP (Grand total of 963 HP). Im not sure if you noticed but amazing thing about Ferrari V12 engine is that it has no turbo, Ferrari’s decision not to turbocharge their engines is great because LaFerrari goes from 0-60 mph in just 2,4 sec also reaches 150 mph in 9,8 sec. No turbo means no lag and great throttle response for that amazing Ferrari driving experience. LaFerrari also has alot of F1 electronics like ESC stability control, high performance ABS/EBD, EF1-Trac electronic traction control integrated with the hybrid system and so on.
Production run for LaFerrari was 499 cars in time period from 2013 to 2015.
4. Koenigsegg Regera – 1,900,000$ (est.)
Regera is a hybrid “megacar” made by Koenigsegg Automotive, Swedish manufacturer of Hypercars, the company one and only goal is to produce world class Supercars!
Regera is the first hybrid production supercar made by Koenigsegg also designed in house by Koenigsegg and its just breath taking it includes a full retracting rear wing and new unique styled door but we can put all that to the side when we come to the fact that the car has no gearbox!
Regera has an amazing new unique direct drive system that combines 3 electric engines that produce around 600 HP and a twin-turbo aluminum 5.0 V8 engine that produces a nice 1100 HP so calculations say Regera has 1700 HP but when measured actual power is 1509 HP. The car basically reaches top speed at 8250 rpm because there is no shifting, that unique feature makes it the fastest car from 0 to 250 mph (400 km/h) in less than 20 sec. Regera production run will be 80 cars in 2015 with 4 already presold so hurry up!
3. Ferrari F60 America – 2,500,000$
F60 America is made by well known Italian car maker Ferrari. F60 America is a special edition of Ferrari F12Berlinetta made to celebrate 60 years of Ferrari in North-America, sold only in America of course.
F60 is a open-top (there is a removable soft-top) F12 with some new bodywork and American flags on the seats also built only in blue and white colors to celebrate North American Racing Team.
F60 shares the engine specs with F12 so it has the classic Ferrari 6,2 V12 (no turbo of course) that has amazing 730 HP and 690 Nm at 6000 rpm. F60 will go from 0 to 60 in just 3,1 sec with top speed of 227 mph (365 km/h).
Production numbers for F12 are not public so its hard to tell how many exactly will be made but Ferrari stated that they will focus on enlarging production numbers during 2015.
2. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse “La Finale” – 2,700,000$
Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse “La Finale” made by Bugatti Automobile, luxury supercar maker from France.
“La Finale” is the last car in the 10 year long production run of Bugatti Veyron. Combination of carbon fiber and red makes this luxury supercar a great flashy every day driver, the Veyron has set itself up as a luxury status symbol with some help of good Bugatti PR team that gave a statement saying that average Bugatti Veyron owner has atleast 84 cars, 3 jets and 1 yacht.
Getting back to our status symbol the Veyron tech side, it is powered by quad-turbo 8,0 V16 beast producing 1200 HP and amazing 1500 Nm of torque that can push this luxury supercar well over 250 mph (400 km/h), it will go from 0-60 in just 2,6 sec. Running the Veyron at top speed would burn your tires in about 15 minutes and you would run out of fuel in 12 minutes, so for a 12 minute full speed joyride you would spend about 70080$!
70080$ includes the cost of shipping the car to France for tire change and 80$ for fuel.
“La Finale” has a chassis number of 450 so its a part of Bugatti Veyron 10 year production run.
1. McLaren P1 GTR – 3,350,000$
P1 GTR is a track supercar made by McLaren, British supercar maker.
P1 GTR is derived from McLaren P1, amazing hybrid supercar. P1 GTR is made specially for track use with improvements like more power, less weight and better aerodynamics its even hard to say that a regular driver would be able to use the P1 GTR to its full potential.
P1 GTR as mentioned earlier has an electric engine producing 196 HP (20 more than regular P1) and twin-turbo 3,8 V8 engine producing 789 HP (62 more than regular P1) so in total P1 GTR has 987 HP thats nice 84 HP upgrade compared to P1. McLaren also slimmed down 50 kg of weight and wider body to grab all the air and downforce it can. The P1 GTR is a true track monster and if you have extra 3 million for a track day car there are still few left in 2015 production run, 42 out of 45 cars are already sold.
